Nancy Magana completed her service term with Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners in Denver, CO. Nancy was Rocky Mountain Crisis Partners’ first AmeriCorps member, and her support and compassion for their callers was an invaluable addition to their dispatch team!
Nancy served as a 988 dispatcher, answering calls from individuals in distress and supporting them through listening and offering resources. She diligently supported countless individuals in crisis, connecting them to vital resources and help in their local community. Nancy's proudest accomplishment is the completion of her Healthy Minds Alliance AmeriCorps service term. She reflects fondly on the moments she provided critical support to callers and dispatched Mobile Crisis teams effectively. Her service has been defined by the fulfillment she found in being a pillar of support for those in need and the personal growth she experienced along the way.
Nancy will be graduating with her bachelor’s degree in May, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Spanish. She is actively seeking opportunities in mental health and social services. Nancy's service experience has deepened her passion for mental health advocacy, and she aspires to contribute to policy and data analysis regarding mental health.
